No Hassle Fireplaces in South Africa

“A Designer Fireplace is almost hassle free and you only need to empty the ash once or twice per heating season to ensure the perfect winter heating solution…”
Alex Wörz, Gauteng Sales Manager

A wood burning Designer Fireplace is built from high quality ceramics and reaches a much higher burning temperature of up to 1000° Celsius than the open or slow combustion fireplaces that are currently available in South Africa.

Lots of Heat Means Little Ash

This higher burning temperature in a Designer Fireplace is achieved through the use of high quality ceramic refractory bricks that can handle the extreme temperatures inside one of our fireplaces. The design and build of the fireplace also ensures that there is sufficient space inside the combustion chamber, therefore allowing the flames to unfold and burn to their full potential. Besides achieving an impressive, not to mention beautiful flame, this high burning temperature also ensures the cleanest possible burning of the wood. When the fire burns out all that is left is the wood ash that is approximately 1% of the original volume of wood from every burn. In other words with daily use you will most likely only have to clean your fireplace at the end of the heating season simply by removing a few scoops of leftover ash.

Did you know? One firing of a Designer Fireplace will keep your home and family warm for many hours. This is because both our Original BioFire and Designer Radiance-Series fireplaces store the energy within their ceramic refractory structure and radiate it out long after the flames are gone.
